Very simple to use. There is a small LCD screen on the back of the panel. You can use the knobs on the side of the unit to select the brightness, color and other features. There is also an app that will allow you to connect to the light using a smartphone that has bluetooth features. The app is called Lumecube. In order to connect your phone, simply hold the power button for 8 seconds while the unit is powered off. The unit will power on, but continue to hold the button until a bluetooth symbol is displayed on the LCD screen. Open the application on your phone, and you should be prompted to connect the unit. We do have a smartphone that we loan out (for free) with the lights (it also has the application for the Colorspike lights), however availability is on a first come first serve basis, and thus we cannot guarantee that it will be available when you rent this set.
