I’ve acquired most of equipment from the last post, but am still in the process of getting a P6x7 body (we’ve decided on getting a P67II), the additional Hassy equipment, and also the Sigma fp (we’ve decided against the FP L, as the fp has better video capabilities). I hope that this year will bring about some exciting new things for Cine 16. The first thing I’d like to announce is our film-scanning service that will be available at the beginning of next year. There will be a post following this one with more details.
Next announcement is that a lot of our more modern options will be made available on Fat Llama. The majority of my stock will stay here on this website, but as my reach is quite small, I’d like to add some of the rentals on there for more access. Currently, I have the D16s on there and will be adding other things like the Fujifilm GFX 100S to both sites soon.
Future procurement plans (in no particular order):
- Pentax 6x7II body
- Hasselblad 2000 FC/W
- Sigma fp or fp L
- Leica M3
- Zeiss Ikon ZM
- Phase One P45+ (for Hasselblad V-mount cameras)
- Canon R3
- Zeiss PL-mount S16 Super Speed set
If you have any particular items you feel would be a good addition to the roster, please leave a message below to let me know.
I will be starting a YouTube channel for CCD Cine 16 next year. The goal of which is to share how to use some of the unique gear that we have, and also to share the images that they can produce, and compare those images to some of the more modern offerings. I will update this ‘News’ section once it has been started.
